The plan after our workout yesterday was I was going to write something here. Little did I know that using my arms was going to be a challenge! We worked out our upper body (obviously) & it was a doozy! It's truly amazing to me all the different ways that they have to work out the same parts. Keeps us on our toes for sure & keeps the workout interesting!I'm always up to a challenge - right - well some of the exercises he was breaking out yesterday - I just laughed out loud! I mean lifting my whole body up with just the strength of my arms! YEA RIGHT! Not this body! At least not now. Talking about upper body strength. I gave it my all though! Joe- mac daddy trainer - had to come over & give me some help & it worked me out! NO DOUBT.
Yesterday was a circuit training day - there were 12 stations. Besides the excercises that had you using your upper body strength to lift you up for minute & 1/2. The excercise that gets me everytime is the bench press. It's just the bar - yea that's it. Keep in mind that the bar w/out weights weighs 45lbs! By the time I got to the bench press I was on my 8th station. So, I was fatigued. I did it by myself 4 to 5 times. Then I had nothing - I mean nothing. Harrold (cute trainer!) was spotting me. After while I didn't feel anything but pain. I had no idea if I was doing it or he was. All I know is I was screaming like the "incredible hulk." After I was done with that station Joe said "now that's the intensity I'm looking for!" I'm thinking - great - but now I've got 4 more stations to go & I can't move my arms. Not to mention the stations I had left were the ones were I had to lift myself up with just the strength of my upper body! Hilarious! I got through it with a smile on my face. Yea!
Yesterday was weigh in day, which can be a great day or bad day depending on the scale. Well, I gained a 1 1/2 lbs. I truly didn't do much of anything different except for L100's Christmas party. Yea I drank beer & had some wings. Maybe 3. But for the most part I had the vegies. I didn't have any of the cookies or the truly bad food that was calling out my name. Beer - that's what I wanted! We were bowling -- so beer & bowling that had my name all over it. That's right! We all had a blast! One thing I noticed the next day was I wasn't sore one bit but my husband - oh he was really sore! Go boot camp!
Until the next time -- see ya bye!
